Free SERP Snippet Generator

Preview exactly how your page appears in Google search results — with live pixel-width meters, because Google truncates titles at ~580px and descriptions at ~1,000px, not at a character count. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

Green: fits comfortably. Amber: close to the budget. Red: Google will likely truncate with an ellipsis.

Why it matters

The snippet is your advert on the results page.

Pixels, not characters

Google measures rendered width in its own fonts. This tool uses real font metrics — the same approach as our full SEO checker — so the meter reflects what searchers actually see.

Front-load your keywords

Words at the start of a truncated title survive; words at the end vanish. Put the search phrase first and your brand last.

Write for the click

A description that fits the budget and ends with a complete thought outperforms one that trails off mid-sentence with an ellipsis.

SERP snippet FAQs

Titles, descriptions and how Google cuts them.

What is a SERP snippet?

The block Google shows for your page in search results: the title link, the URL breadcrumb and the description. It is your advert on the results page — how it reads decides whether people click your result or the one below it.

Why measure in pixels instead of characters?

Google truncates titles at roughly 580 pixels of rendered width and descriptions at roughly 1,000 pixels — not at a character count. A title full of narrow letters like 'i' and 'l' fits far more characters than one full of wide capitals, so two 60-character titles can render very differently. This generator measures your text with real font metrics, the way Google actually displays it.

What is the ideal title length?

Whatever fits inside about 580 pixels — typically 50–60 average characters. Front-load the words people search for, keep your brand at the end, and check the meter rather than counting characters.

Does Google always use my meta description?

No — Google rewrites descriptions for many queries, pulling text from the page instead. A well-written description that fits the pixel budget is still worth it: it is used often enough to matter, and it sets the message when it is used.

Is this SERP snippet generator free?

Yes — completely free, with no account and nothing to install. It runs entirely in your browser; nothing you type is sent to any server.
