LONDON, October 12, 2026 — TK WebHosts, the global web hosting and domain company, is marking 14 years of building free websites. Since 2012, the TK WebHosts team has designed and built free websites, and today’s program gives a small business a professionally designed website with twelve months of free hosting.
Over the years, TK WebHosts’ free website initiatives have supported solopreneurs on government programs and charities in the UK, and selected businesses in developing countries. The current program opens the offer to small businesses through an application that the team approves by hand.
How the free website program works
Businesses choose a one-page, five-page or ten-page website. The TK WebHosts team designs and builds it to the same standard as paid work, and it works on phones, tablets and desktops. Hosting is free for the first twelve months, and the finished website belongs to the business.
Every application is approved by hand, and businesses are asked for proof of the business after they apply. There is one free website per business. The only thing a business might pay for is a domain name: it can use one it already owns, or register a new one with TK WebHosts at the standard price.
After the first year, hosting renews at its standard price. A business that would rather move can take its website to another host, and TK WebHosts hands the site over.
Why TK WebHosts runs it
“A website is still the first thing a customer checks, and for a lot of small businesses the cost of getting one built is the reason they don’t have one,” said a TK WebHosts spokesperson. “The free website program removes that cost. We build the site properly, host it for a year, and it’s theirs to keep, whether they stay with us or not.”
